While working for a large multinational software giant Dom was also helping his friends Gus and Frank manage their aptly named Melbourne five piece "Gus&Frank".
After being transferred to Singapore Dom had to find a way to keep tabs on Gus&Frank, a way that he could keep them up-to-date with where they had to be and at what times etc. So, while on sick leave with a severe back injury, he lay on the floor boards of his Singapore apartment and developed the very first version of Band Manager!
It was at about this time that Nick was studying on exchange in Austria and the band he works with, Race The Fray, were back in Australia. It was a year later after meeting at a Gus&Frank gig (where Race The Fray were supporting) Nick and Dom found they had similar experiences working with, and organising artists. After sharing technologies and seeing the big improvement Band Manager was making in communicating with their bands and between band members, they decided that it must be made available to bands across Australia and the world.
The pair scraped together as much time and resources as they could over the following three years, adding loads of extra features and with the addition of a developer (The code-mighty Tom), and some and some help from Julie to make them look a little more professional they made Band Manager the secure and reliable product it is today.
Band Manager is now the most comprehensive and unique online band management tool available!
