So you're in an indie band, and like most indie bands, you can only dream of having a manager, tour manager, booking agent and personal assistant to make sure the drummer turns up to gigs on time and to ensure the bass player does not end up at the Espy in Inverloch when he should be at the Espy in St Kilda!
All your industry contacts are on scraps of paper kept in a crappy folder in that "rehearsal room" you share with a station wagon. Your phone bill is getting bigger by the minute.
Each time you are offered a gig you have to call every band member to make sure that the drummer is not up at the snow that weekend, to confirm the lead guitarists sister's wedding is next weekend (and not the one after), all while trying to locate the bass player (who is nowhere to be found).
The gig has to be confirmed with the venue before 6pm today or they will give it to a band who actually has their shit together.
